“This past year has demonstrated, in a deep and abiding way, that personal style and creative expression are essential to and consonant with wellness,” said SCAD President and Founder Paula Wallace. “SCADstyle invites us to consider some of our most timely questions: Who am I online? How can we best convey our ideas and our identities in this season of profound cultural evolution? How does fashion shape my own sense of self? From the apotheosis of athleisure to the bull market in brand content, SCAD invites students, alumni, and audiences across the world to discover the evolution of style and personal invention in the Zoom Age and beyond.”
More than 15 of the university’s top-ranked degree programs are represented in SCADstyle programming, which features idea-driven talks and power-stacked panels with top names. All events are free and open to the public through the streaming platform Perigon. SCAD students and alumni serve as emcees, moderators, and panelists for select events, which offers networking opportunities with this year’s cohort of creative leaders.
