Atlanta Hawks Forward, DeMarre Carroll, Pays Local Gas Bills for the Holidays

Four Families Surprised with December Bills Paid in Full

The following is an article submitted to Midtown Patch by the Atlanta Hawks.

Atlanta Hawks forward DeMarre Carroll is paying the December natural gas bills of four personally selected families for the holidays, totaling $1500. The families are all SCANA Energy customers and reside in Atlanta, Douglasville, Ellenwood and Roswell.

Carroll has been paying the gas bills of families in need each holiday season since his first year in the league in 2009 as a tribute to his grandmother who was a constant example of giving to those in need.

“We are proud to work together in an effort to help our customers enjoy a brighter holiday season this year,” said George Devlin, vice president and general manager of SCANA Energy.
