ATLANTA, GA — More than 40 hand-painted "Festivity Trees" will soon line Peachtree Street in Midtown Atlanta at Colony Square, a mixed-use shopping and office development. Of the 41 trees, 16 are original works from last year and 25 are new works, each painted by an Atlanta artist. The tall wooden Christmas trees will be on public display through Dec. 27. On Friday, The Plaza at Colony Square will unveil the artful trees at its second annual Festivity + Trees reveal party. From 4 to 7 p.m., the public is invited to peruse the collection of painted trees while enjoying festive libations from the Sunshine Alchemy alcohol truck, s'mores and hot chocolate from Malvi, and live entertainment by the Tinseltone Carolers. The event is free. The Plaza at Colony Square is at 1097 Peachtree St NE in Midtown.
