Police Investigate Christmas Day Murder-Suicide in Atlanta

Atlanta police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide of two people believed to be husband and wife at an Atlanta home early Christmas Day.

Around 4 a.m., investigators were called to a home at the 900 block of Mayson Turner Road where they found one person dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head and another with several stab wounds to the torso, according to Atlanta police spokeswoman Officer Kim Y. Jones.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the couple as Charles Love, 59, and Florence Love, 55, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Investigators said the man called his brother and a neighbor and made incriminating statements regarding the death of Florence Love.
