Patch Staff Report

From May 30 to June 1, Executive Chef Jamie Adams of Veni Vidi Vici is participating in the inaugural Chefs on Bikes ride, a new event dedicated to raising funds and awareness for the No Kid Hungry campaign.

He is joining Chefs Jason Roberts (formerly of ABC’s “The Chew”), Allan Ng and Ryan Hux (both of Shake Shack), the original brains behind the event.

Kicking off the ride in New York City, the chef group will cycle 300 miles to Washington, DC during the three-day trek. Other chefs and supporters will join for bits and pieces of the trip all with a goal to raise $25,000 for the campaign.

Chef Jamie is an avid cyclist and completes up to eight centuries a year. He says, “I was very interested in a new way to shed light on the mission of No Kid Hungry through my love of cycling. I see an opportunity to raise awareness and money in a completely different way and I am greatly energized by the opportunity to be a part of the first annual Chefs on Bikes ride.”

The chefs will stop in Philadelphia the first night and Baltimore the second night. The journey will culminate in Washington, D.C. at the Dupont Circle Shake Shack at 12 p.m. on Sunday, June 1. For more information and to donate to the cause, click here.
