Georgia’s Clean Air Force Announces Clean Air Force Elite Program

New Program Recognizes Nearly 300 Metro Atlanta Stations with Outstanding Emissions Testing and Customer Service

ATLANTA – Georgia’s Clean Air Force, in partnership with the Georgia Environmental Protection Division, has launched the Clean Air Force Elite program to promote excellence in vehicle emissions testing and customer service.

For the Clean Air Force Elite program, Georgia’s Clean Air Force has worked with station owners, managers and inspectors to raise the bar of the testing experience for motorists by making a commitment to deliver the highest quality service to each motorist, every time.

The program consists of 288 elite vehicle emissions testing stations with inspectors who have reviewed a Best Practices Toolkit and signed a pledge in support of best practices when assisting motorists throughout the 13-county metro Atlanta region.

“Georgia’s Clean Air Force wanted to establish a program to recognize the emissions testing stations who demonstrate outstanding best practices in both emissions testing and customer service,” said Pamela Earl, Mobile & Area Sources Program Manager, Georgia Environmental Protection Division. “This ongoing program will ensure that motorists can choose the very best emissions testing stations and inspectors.”

About Georgia’s Clean Air Force
Georgia's Clean Air Force (GCAF), in partnership with the Environmental Protection Division (EPD), is responsible for the management of the Enhanced Vehicle Emission Inspection and Maintenance (I/M) Program throughout Atlanta's 13 metro counties. Since 1996, Georgia's Inspection and Maintenance Program has prevented more than 1.6 million tons of harmful ozone-forming pollutants from entering the air we breathe, the equivalent of removing 13,400 vehicles from the road or planting more than 400 million trees. It is also estimated that Georgia residents have saved $311 million in utility bills since 1996 due to cleaner air. The program has also identified and repaired more than 3.4 million heavy-polluting vehicles. For more information, please visit www.cleanairforce.com.
