Georgia Weather Forecast: Dry Start, Rainy End To Weekend
Find out when National Weather Service forecasters say we could get some thunderstorms in metro Atlanta this weekend.

ATLANTA, GA — Metro Atlanta is likely to start the weekend out under clear skies. But, by the end of the weekend, our run of thunderstorm-free days and nights may be coming to an end.
The National Weather Service says isolated-to-scattered thunderstorms can be expected Friday over north and central Georgia, but is only calling for a 20 percent chance of rain in metro Atlanta. That chance will tick up to 30 percent on Saturday.
But, starting Sunday morning, we'll be looking at a 50-50 chance of showers and thunderstorms. Forecasters say Sunday could be just the start of a string of rainy days, with even higher rain chances coming early next week.
