Georgia Weather: A Messy Weekend Forecast
Find out when it's supposed to rain and what the temperatures will be like this weekend in metro Atlanta.

ATLANTA, GA — At least it won't be freezing. But in a winter that's already brought some exceptionally irritating weather to metro Atlanta, we may be in for a soggy couple of days.
Skies should stay clear through Friday night and Saturday morning. But, by mid-afternoon Saturday, the bottom could fall out. There's a 30 percent chance of rain mainly after 4 p.m. Saturday, increasing to a 70 percent chance by Saturday night.
Then, on Sunday, it looks like rain for most of the day. The National Weather Service is calling for an 80 percent chance during the day, dropping to a 20 percent chance by Sunday night.

The good news is that, during the sunny times we do have, the temperature outside should be downright pleasant. We're looking at a high of 57 degrees on Saturday, with the low Saturday night only getting down to 50.
And, on Sunday, the high should again be 57, dropping down to 40 on Sunday night.

We wish we had a sunnier forecast for the last weekend of January. But, try to get out and enjoy the nice temperatures when it's dry and, during the other times, try to stay dry.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 58. Southeast wind 5-10 m.p.h., with gusts as high as 15 m.p.h. Mostly cloudy Friday night, with a low around 45.
Saturday: A 30 percent chance of rain, mainly after 4 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 57. East wind 5-10 m.p.h. Rain likely Saturday night, mainly after 1 a.m. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. Cloudy, with a low around 50.
Sunday: An 80 percent chance of rain. High near 57 degrees, with east wind around 5 m.p.h. becoming north in the afternoon. Sunday night, a 20 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40.
