Lyft Offering Discounted Rides From Local Brewpubs, Cideries

Several Buckhead and Midtown breweries and wineries are participating in a discounted Lyft rides program.

DECATUR, GA -- Several Midtown, East Atlanta, Buckhead, Virginia Highland and downtown brewpubs, cideries, wineries and distilleries are taking part in a Lyft discounted rides promotion. The ride-service provider said, to encourage riders to drink responsibly, it's offering 50 percent off trips home from these 60 breweries, cideries, wineries and distilleries. To get the discount, Atlantans take a Lyft to a participating location, show the bartender their ride receipts and get a code for 50 percent off their rides home.

In 2018, Lyft first partnered with the Georgia Craft Brewers Guild to offer discounted rides home from 21 member breweries. The program has now expanded to include 60 participating partners made up of wineries, cideries, distilleries, and breweries outside the guild.

Lyft was founded in 2012 by Logan Green and John Zimmer, and is available to 95 percent of the U.S. population as well as select cities in Canada.
