ATLANTA — A major Midtown road closed Monday morning for weeks for sewer repair. 13th Street between Peachtree Walk and Crescent Avenue will be closed each day from 9 am to 5 pm. Traffic control measures will be in place to guide drivers around the work zone, including police officers.

Residents and business employees who park their vehicles on the street will need to find alternative parking. Residents and businesses will continue to have access to mail and package delivery, emergency services and trash pick-up. Motorists are urged to use caution and to avoid the area if possible.

Crews are replacing the existing storm line requiring the closure of 13th Street. The road will reopen daily at 5 pm.

Detour

  • Traveling eastbound on 13th Street turn right on Peachtree Walk, then left onto 12th Street toward Crescent Avenue.
  • Traveling southbound on Crescent Avenue, turn right on 12th Street, then right onto Peachtree Walk, and left onto 13th Street.
