MIDTOWN, GA — Midtown’s Colony Square has been transformed into a winter wonderland. It'll run through Jan. 3. The corner of 14th and Peachtree streets will have hanging wreaths, clusters of artful holiday trees, sparkling lights and a Santa’s chair to complete the holiday feel.

A celebration, in partnership with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA), will take place in Colony Square Saturday, Dec. 7 from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

Before the CHOA Christmas Parade kicks off, children are invited to a special breakfast at 5Church. The breakfast buffet opens at 8:30 a.m. There will also be holiday crafts, visits from characters including princesses and Christmas characters, and a special presentation by the Center for Puppetry Arts.

After breakfast “The Festivity Loop” along Peachtree Street comes to life with family-friendly activities such as complementary face painting, a holiday-themed photo booth, hot chocolate, reindeer games and more.

The parade kicks off at 10 a.m.

In 2020, Colony Square will host its inaugural tree lighting and the opening of the ice rink, which will become an annual tradition aligned with the CHOA parade. All proceeds from the festivities will benefit CHOA.
