Midtown's TSW Designs a new Amphitheater for Stockbridge, Ga.

The City of Stockbridge, Ga. has broken ground on a new amphitheater, designed to be a focal point of city’s Town Center expansion. The project began in 2012, when Atlanta-based TSW completed a Livable Centers Initiative Study for Stockbridge, calling for a vibrant mixed-use Town Center. In late 2017, TSW was re-engaged by the city to design the amphitheater as the next phase of downtown development. When completed, the amphitheater will extend the public space around City Hall and will become the site of festivals, theatrical productions, concerts, community celebrations and much more. It will offer seating for 3,200 people, public restrooms, concessions and other support service spaces, and is expected to be completed in the fall of 2020. TSW Principal Heather Hubble, AIA was among the participants at the recent groundbreaking event.
