Georgia's largest city makes the cut for top places to bring in the new year.

ATLANTA, GA -- When you think of New Year's celebrations, the famous Peach Drop has been a not-so-secret pastime for Atlantans for decades. The City Too Busy To Hate has always known how to party, but it seems now the peach is out of the bag.

Atlanta ranks No. 3 among cities to bring in the new year, according to WalletHub.

But there are other things to do in the city on Dec. 31. Thousands of football fans will be packed in the Georgia Dome for the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowlfeaturing the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide vs. the No. 4 Washington Huskies.

If dancing is your thing, "Dancing With the Stars: Live" will be at the Fox Theatre with celebrities in tow.

If you want to escape the downtown madness, Ponce City Market will throw a "Roaring Rooftop Bash" (hipsters in black ties? This will be the place to be).

So how does Atlanta stack up against the other cities? Here are the top five cities as listed by WalletHub:

1. ORLANDO, FLA.

2. SAN FRANCISCO, CA.

3. ATLANTA, GA.

4. DENVER, CO.

5. BUFFALO, N.Y.

Well, what about New York City? The Big Apple comes in at a paltry No. 38. Oh, the burn.
