Spring Street Closed To Move Crane
The complete closure started Thursday night and is expected to continue through early Monday morning.

ATLANTA, GA — A portion of Spring Street in midtown Atlanta has been shut down as crews work to remove a giant crane.
The tower crane was used for construction of Ascent Midtown at 1400 West Peachtree St. The full closure of Spring Street — between 17th and 18th streets — started at 9 p.m. Thursday and is expected to continue through 3 a.m. Monday morning.
Earlier this week, two southbound lanes on Spring Street had been closed during non-peak hours for preliminary work needed to move the crane, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.
