Suspected Midtown Burglar Has 40 Arrests On Rap Sheet

ATLANTA — Police have arrested a suspected Midtown and downtown burglar whose rap sheet shows 40 previous arrests. On Saturday, a Midtown resident on Ponce De Leon Avenue told police he was awakened by a male suspect in his home who was trying to steal his TV. The homeowner told police he struggled with the burglar before the suspect fled and took the victim's wallet with him.

The suspect, now identified as Casey Joseph O’Halloran, began using the victim's credit cards at various Midtown stores, according to police. O’Halloran was spotted by police at a Walgreens on Piedmont Avenue.

Police said O’Halloran attempted to run when he saw the officers, but he was taken into custody after a short foot chase. O’Halloran has 40 prior arrests in Georgia and Texas which include burglary, robbery, entering auto, as well as other drug and theft charges.
