Tues., Aug. 25, 6:30 p.m. – Virtual Pasta Class with Bellina Alimentari

• Bellina Alimentari has put their in-person cooking classes on hold for now, but the restaurant is thrilled to now offer new virtual classes via Zoom! First up: a pasta-making class. Participants will learn the art of traditional fresh pasta making in their own home kitchen, and the restaurant will supply everything needed for class in advance. Pasta machine not required. Mon., Aug. 24 – Celebrate National Waffle Day at Pancake Social

• Monday, August 24 is National Waffle Day, and Pancake Social has you covered. Their famed Sourdough Waffle is made with a 28-year-old starter first cultivated at Chef Anne Quatrano’s Bacchanalia and comes hot with butter on top and Vermont maple syrup. Fridays & Saturdays, Noon - 8 p.m. – Pizza Jeans Now Open for Takeout & Delivery

• The team behind Root Baking Co. just opened Pizza Jeans on the second floor of the Central Food Fall at Ponce City Market! Originally founded as a pop-up, the neighborhood pizza spot serves a menu of pizza by the slice and pie, drinks, dessert and more for walk-up takeout and delivery on Fridays and Saturdays from noon-8pm.

Saturdays & Sundays, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. – Root Baking Co. Now Open

• Root Baking Co. is now open in a new food stall adjacent to Pizza Jeans on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and offers an all-day, counter service menu with breads, pastries and brunch. The brunch menu features breakfast sandwiches, a new Grit Bowl with farm egg, local vegetables, sausage and Farm and Sparrow Mill grits, mimosas and brunch cocktails, and more. Root Baking Co. also offers bread and pastry pre-orders here for pickup at Morningside Farmers Market on Saturdays. Their breads can also be found at six Whole Foods locations – Ponce, Midtown, West Paces, North Buckhead, Decatur and Brookhaven.
