The management company expressed their sympathies, but noted that the party was unauthorized and broke several rules.

MIDTOWN ATLANTA, GA — Authorities are investigating the death of a 19-year-old who is believed to have drowned at a pool party, multiple sources say. Shomari Billings was a student at Georgia Southern University.

Just before 8 p.m. Memorial Day, police were called to the 500 block of Northside Circle NW with complaints of the party. When they arrived, the party goers scattered, CBS46 reported.

Police found Billings, apparently drowned, in the water. They performed CPR but couldn't revive him and took him to the hospital, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported.
