Teen, Baby Dead, Others Injured In Midtown GPS High-Speed Chase
The 25-year-old driver of the BMW has been identified and authorities are obtaining arrest warrants.
MIDTOWN, GA — A teen and baby were killed in a crash Wednesday night in Midtown along the downtown connector, according to the Georgia State Patrol (GSP).
A BMW exited at 17th Street and as it approached 10th Street, troopers said it crashed into a Nissan Altima that was stopped, reported WSB. The right rear passenger, 18-year-old Anjanae McClain, was pronounced dead at the scene. The baby was critically injured and rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital, before being transported to Children’s Medical at Egleston. According to WSB, the family said later the baby died. Three other passengers of the Altima were injured and are listed as stable.
The BMW then hit two more cars along the same street. GSP began to chase after the car. The 25-year-old driver of the BMW has been identified and authorities are obtaining arrest warrants.
