UPS Updates Customers on Shipments That Missed Christmas
Too many packages were shipped just before the holiday for the shipping giant's air packages system to handle in time for Dec. 25.

Not all packages scheduled for delivery in time for Christmas made it on time, and UPS has notified customers that the volume of air packages exceeded its capacity right before the holiday.
Not surprisingly, UPS does not deliver Christmas Day, but it will resume its normally scheduled service on Dec. 26.
A service update posted on UPS.com and updated on Christmas Day said, "UPS is experiencing heavy holiday volume and making every effort to get packages to their destination; however, the volume of air packages in our system exceeded the capacity of our network immediately preceding Christmas so some shipments were delayed."
