Cruelty to Children Arrest, Collectible Coins Stolen, Drag Racing: Sheriff's Calls

Activity date: July 10, 2015 – July 12, 2015

Zone 1
Damage to Property – A mailbox at a residence on Sterling Water Dr. was reportedly damaged. The mailbox appeared to have been struck by a vehicle. Incident occurred between 1:00 p.m. on 07/10/15 and 12:00 p.m. on 07/11/15.

Burglary – A flat screen television and two collectible coins were reported missing from an RV at a residence on Chris Dr. Incident occurred between 07/10/15 at 5:30 p.m. and 7/11/2015 at 7:30 p.m.

Burglary – A residence on Jewel Ridge was reportedly burglarized between 9:45 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on 07/12/15. Several items taken.

Zone 2
Drag Racing – Resident on Sweetbriar Rd. reported drag racing in the area. Area checked. No contact.

Zone 3
Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested on Nunnally Shoals Rd. reference subjects reportedly prowling around property and entering vehicles.

Control Substance Problem – Lon Alexander Hollingsworth was given a citation for Possession of Marijuana less than an Ounce at a residence on Harry Arnold Rd. following an EMS assist where marijuana was observed.

Fireworks – Resident on Queens Cemetery Rd. reported fireworks being set off in the street. Area checked. No contact.

Arrest – Justin Dilbeck was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Walton County at a residence on Breedlove Dr. Sarah Clark was arrested for Obstruction.

Zone 4
Accident – A single vehicle accident occurred on Perry Smith Rd. Accident handled by Georgia State Patrol.

Suspicious Vehicle – A white van with all lights on and running was reportedly sitting on the side of the roadway on Bradley Gin Rd. Area checked. No contact.

Injured Animal – Residents on Jacks Glass Rd. reported their canine had been shot.

Loud Music – Resident on Ike Stone Rd. reported loud music reportedly coming from Gratis Gate Community House. Area checked. Contact made and the music was turned down.

Accident – An accident occurred on Hwy 78 and Jim Daws Rd. Accident handled by Georgia State Patrol.

Zone 5
Arrest - Ramon Navarro was arrested for Driving while Unlicensed in the area of Hwy 11 and Walker Park Dr. following a traffic stop.

Arrest – Christopher Moses was arrested for Driving while License Suspended in the area of Hwy 11 and Emmett Doster Rd. following a suspicious vehicle complaint.

Arrest – Nicholas Richardson was arrested for Theft by Conversion on Hwy 81 after a short foot chase.

Burglary – A burglary occurred on River Landing Dr. in Alcovy River Landing Subdivision. Forced entry was noticed through the back door. Cash, jewelry and medications were taken.

Extra Patrol – Extra patrol requested at a residence on Hwy 81 due to suspicious vehicles reportedly coming onto the property. One vehicle described as a white passenger car with a red or maroon hood.

Arrest – Mary Jo McWaters was arrested for Battery and two counts of Cruelty to Children in the 3rd degree following an incident at a residence on Morgans Ridge Dr.

Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested at a residence on Nicholsville Rd. during the night hours due to juveniles reportedly throwing firecrackers at the residence between8:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m.

Recovered Vehicle – A 1998 Honda Civic was found in the roadway on N Cross Lane Rd. Vehicle had been stripped. Vehicle was reported stolen out of Winder on Friday 07/10/2015.

Arrest – Kevin Johnson was arrested for Disorderly Conduct at the Bay Creek Shell after giving the deputy a false name.

Zone 6
Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Thompson Rd. and Clay Dr. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Fraud – A male subject stating he was with Georgia State Patrol reportedly called a resident on Broadnax Dr. requesting debit/credit card information for donations to help buy bullet proof vests.

Trespassing – Four subjects trespassing at the Rock Quarry. Subjects issued Criminal Trespass citations.
