Florida Georgia Line Featured in L.A. Times Blog
The local group was in California performing for the Stagecoach event

Florida Georgia Line, the local group recently named new artist of the year at the Academy of Country Music Awards, continues to make headlines wherever they go.
A reviewer for the Los Angeles Times highlighted the group in a blog post, noting "Front guys Tyler Hubbard (Monroe, Ga.) and Brian Kelley (Ormond Beach, Fla.) pump out plenty of rock energy while attempting to inject rapped lyrics into several of their songs."
But the reviewer wasn't entirely impressed with the band, saying the lyrics can fall into cliches:

"I like fried chicken right off the bone/ I like my peaches home grown... With a little Garth on the radio/ A little bit of Florida, A little bit of Georgia/ And a lot of country in my soul." That's not a song — it's a Chamber of Commerce marketing campaign.
The group was scheduled to shoot a music video in Monroe this week.
