CRIME AWARENESS/COMMUNITY INFORMATION ALERT
Activity date: August 28, 2015-August 30, 2015
Zone 1
Accident- Deputies responded to an accident in the area Highway 138 and Cannon Farm Road. No injuries. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.
Firearms- A residence off Old Highway 81 subject reported hearing gun shots in the area. Deputies checked the area. No contact.
Zone 2
Suspicious Vehicle- In the area of Highway 11 and Frost Road complainant reported a silver Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with a white light bar on top and multiple decals occupied by the suspect reported in the asphalt fraud was in the area. Contact was made with the occupants and they were advised they needed a permit to solicit.
Identity Theft- Subject came in to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office to report someone buying airline tickets on their debit card.
Zone 3
Arrest- Jack McCauley was arrested at a residence off Fairview Drive after a physical altercation.
Juvenile Problem- In the area of Monina Michael Road subject reported several juveniles riding golf carts in the road. Contact made with juveniles and they were turned over to their parents.
Suspicious Vehicle- It was reported a black passenger car with two black males was at the back gate of Walton EMC after hours. Deputies checked the area. No contact.
Zone 4
Theft- A residence off Tommy Dillard Road homeowner reported someone took their 20 Gauge Remington shotgun and ammunition.
Firearms- A residence off Appalachee Falls subject reported hearing gun shots in the area. Deputies checked the area. No contact.
Zone 5
Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Watson Fain Train in reference to speeding vehicles in the early morning hours.
Other Law- In the area of Highway 81 and Hudson Road complainant reported a rolling dispute between two vehicles. Area was checked, no contact.
Suspicious Vehicle- In the area of St Martin Way complainant reported an older model small black pick-up truck with a camper shell occupied by a black male mid-twenties to early thirties drove through the neighborhood several times in the late evening hours.
Prowler- A residence off Lee Peters Road complainant reported multiple times that an unknown subject was beating on the side of their house. Deputies checked the area. Everything okay.
Firearms- A residence off Harrison Shoals Road caller reported hearing gun shots in the area. Deputies checked the area. No contact.
Accident- Deputies responded to an accident in the area of Stock Gap Road. No injuries. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.
Accident- Deputies responded to an accident in the area of Ozora Church Road and Highway 81. No injuries. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.
Zone 6
Fraud- A residence off Irvin Drive complainant reported a case of check fraud from her account.
Accident- Deputies responded to an accident in the area of Highway 81. No injuries. Georgia State Patrol handled the accident.
Theft- A residence off Rabbit Farm Road complainant reported someone took a check out of their mailbox.
Suspicious Vehicle- A residence off Greenridge Drive caller reported seeing a blue SUV in and out of the area in the early morning hours.
Theft-A business off Highway 81 complainant reported their John Deere lawn mower taken. Mower was put in the national database.
Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Nunnally Farm Road in reference to recent thefts in the area.
Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Miller Bottom Road and Flagstone Way. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
In reference to the Safety Check, One motorist citied for Possession of Marijuana Less Than an Ounce.
Burglary- A business off Highway 20 complainant reported a hedge trimmer, chainsaw and climbing equipment taken from the location in the late evening or early morning hours.
Animal Complaint- A residence off Winding Grove Lane caller reported three canines charged them in their front yard. Animal control arrived and handled the scene.
Burglary- A business off Centerhill Church Road subject reported two suspects were burglarizing the business and they fled the scene prior to deputy’s arrival with approximately fifty dollars from the business.
Zone 7
Accident- Deputies responded to an accident in the area of Highway 81 and Centerhill Church Road. No injuries. Walton County Sheriff’s Office handled the scene of the accident.
Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Highway 138 and Forrester Cemetery Road. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
In reference to the Safety Check, motorist citied for Possession of Marijuana Less Than an Ounce and another motorist cited for Driving While License Suspended.
Firearms- A residence off Habersham Circle caller reported they heard someone discharging firearms in the area. Deputies checked the area. Everything okay.
Firearms- A residence off Hillview Drive caller reported hearing gun shots in the area. Deputies checked the area. No contact.
Suspicious Person- In the area of Robertson Road subject reported a white male long greyish blonde hair on foot making obscene hand gestures at the passing vehicles. Deputies checked the area. No contact.
