How Do Georgia Schools Rank Against Other States?

A new study by WalletHub ranks Georgia as the state with the highest dropout rate.


Parents and kids are gearing up for back-to-school, but where does Georgia’s education system rank in the nation?

A new compilation released by WalletHub ranked the Georgia education system at No. 32 overall in the nation, 35 in school system quality alone and 13 in education output and safety.

The number in the lower half of the states also comes with an average C-grade from Education Week earlier this year. The national education newspaper ranked states with letter grades in all categories. Georgia’s C was below the national C+ average.

According to WalletHub, Georgia also tied with Alaska for the education system with the highest dropout rate. The study also pins Georgia at the sixth state with the least safe schools.
