Made-Up Assault Complaint, Horses Found Dead, Injury Accident: Sheriff's Calls

CRIME AWARENESS/COMMUNITY INFORMATION ALERT

Zone 1
Found Property – A tag was reportedly found near her mailbox at a residence on Hwy 138. No contact made with registered owner of tag.
Extra Patrol – Extra patrol is requested in the area of Hightower Trail in reference to juveniles reportedly walking through the properties in the area during the night time hours.
Zone 2
Accident – An accident occurred in the area of Monroe Jersey Rd. and HD Atha Rd. Driver was transported to Clearview with non-life threatening injuries. Accident handled by Georgia State Patrol.
Damage to Property/Attempted Theft – A mailbox at a residence on Knox Chapel Rd. was reportedly damaged when a subject attempted to steal a motorcycle from residence.
Zone 3
Arrest – Delvin Smith was arrested for an outstanding warrant at a residence on Colley St.
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on AD Farm Rd. Residence checked. Everything okay.
Zone 4
Stolen Vehicle – A green, 1998 Honda Civic was stolen from a residence on Tommy Dillard Rd. Incident occurred between 11:00 p.m. 07/06/15 and 12:00 p.m. 07/07/2015.
Identity Theft – Subject reportedly has his personal information used to obtain credit account.
Zone 5
Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on New Hope Church Rd. and Double Springs Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
Trespassing – Seven juveniles were found in a residence on Orchard Circle smoking marijuana. Parents were notified and juveniles were issued Criminal Trespass warnings.
Disorderly Conduct – Brian Rogers and Crystal Rogers at a residence on Waterford Lane were given citations for Disorderly Conduct.
False Report of a Crime– Subject reported that she was assaulted by two men in an SUV in the area of Bold Springs Rd. and Bentley Rd. She stated she was beat and cut with a box cutter. Subject later confessed to making the story up.
Zone 6
Stolen Vehicle – Two vehicles were reportedly picked up by a subcontractor of Copart. One of the vehicles was dropped off. A 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander was reported stolen.
Animal Complaint – Thirty- eight horses were found on site at an address on Mary Ln. Nineteen horses were found to be sick and needing medical attention. Seven horses were found deceased. Case turned over to an Equine Inspector from Department of Agriculture and Walton County Animal Control.
Theft Report – Owner of a vehicle reported an Apple iPod and a diaper bag missing from her vehicle that was towed by a wrecker service to Copart.
