Martha Stephens, 61, of Monroe

Martha S. Stephens, 61, of Monroe, passed away Thursday, Jan. 16.  

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, Jan. 19, in the Loganville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home.  Bro. Gene Scarborough will officiate. A private inurnment will take place following the service.  

A supervisor over Parkview School District, Mrs. Stephens was a member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church in Grayson and was active in Relay for Life.  

She is survived by her  Husband of 17 years: Barry R. Stephens, Monroe; Children: Lucretia Barrett & Joshua Benson, Dacula; Mary & Lee Collins, Snellville; Step-Children: Lea & Timothy Mitchell, Toccoa; Russell & Nicki Stephens, Bethlehem; Bradley & Krista Stephens, Loganville; Mother: Lucretia Scarborough, Lilburn; Brothers &  Sister-in-law: Gene & Lonya Scarborough, Raleigh, SC; Charles Scarborough, Birmingham, AL; Sister & Brother-in-law: Carol & Chuck Sandusky, Lilburn; Grandchildren: Dalton & Grayson Mitchell, Garrett Stephens, Devon Benson, Ryder & Rylan Stephens, Hunter Collins, Damian Benson, Harper Collins; Numerous Nieces & Nephews.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, Gwinnett County Unit, 6500 Sugarloaf Parkway, Suite 260, Duluth, Georgia 30097.
