Monroe Area, GWA Ranked in Football's Top 10
Purple Hurricanes, Bulldogs are both ranked by Georgia High School Football Daily.
The Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes and the George Walton Academy Bulldogs will take state rankings into their 2013 Georgia High School Association football season openers this week.
Monroe Area is ranked No. 7 in Class 4A and GWA is No. 5 in Class A in this week's rankings released by the Georgia High School Football Daily.
The Purple Hurricanes open their season Friday at Walton County rival Loganville. GWA plays at First Presbyterian.
Also in GHSA, Walnut Grove opens at Woodland.
