Police Find Motorcycle Stolen in 2009 Parked Outside of Nearby Watkinsville Business
The motorcycle was reported stolen out of South Carolina in 2009.
Watkinsville Police on Saturday, June 8, recovered a motorcycle that had been reported stolen more than four years earlier from South Carolina.
Police Chief Lee O'Dillon said officers were checking on the motorcycle parked at a business on Ga. Highway 15Â when a computer check revealed that the 2007 BMW 1200 was stolen. Â
Police in Greenville, South Carolina listed the bike as stolen on April 23, 2009, according to a news release.
The motorcycle was impounded and the agency in Greenville was notified, O'Dillon said.
