Mrs. Shirley Coker Briscoe, age 78 of Monroe, passed away Monday, June 3, 2013. A Graveside service will be held 11:30 AM, Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Campton United Methodist Church Cemetery in Monroe. Rev. Jim Draper will officiate.

A member of Campton United Methodist Church in Monroe, Mrs. Briscoe was a retired secretary with the Federal Government. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert “Bob” Lee Coker and is survived by: Daughters & Son-in-law: Glenda & Jerry Ewing, Connie Briscoe; Son & Daughter-in-law: Terry Lee & Georgia Briscoe, Brothers & Sisters- in-law: Eugene & Mary Ann Coker, Roger & Sylvia Coker, all of Monroe; Sisters and Brother-in-law: Joyce Kennedy, Eatonton; Pat & A. J. Waldrop, Loganville; Sister-in-law: Betty Coker, Fayetteville; Grandchildren: Jessica Whitlow, Monroe; Beth & Luke Golden, Bostwick; Chris & Samantha Banks, Monroe; Nikkie & Tim Garner, Erica Briscoe, Paige Briscoe, 6 Great Grandchildren, all of Monroe.
