Obituary: Dorothy Prather, 82, of Monroe

Dorothy (Dot) Prather, age 82 of Monroe, died on August 30, 2013. She was born in Rutledge on December 8, 1930 to the late Calvin Daniel and Lessie Mae Peters Daniel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the late John Morris (Buster) Prather. Surviving are: Daughter and Son in Law: Gail and Charlie Yarberry of Monroe; Sister: Drue Willie Atha of Monroe; Sisters in Law: Hazel Prather of Monroe, Evelyn Fuller of Monroe, and Effie Prather of Monroe; Grandchildren: Kevin and Julie Harrison of Monroe, Kelli and Dustin Teal of Monroe; Step-Grandchildren: Lisa and Tim Gibson of Covington, Lee Yarberry of Tennessee; and Eight Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held Sunday September 1st at 2:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Conner, the Rev. Marion Prather, and the Rev. Don Malcom officiating. Interment followed at Westlawn Cemetery.
