Maynard Marshall Boyd, age 73, of Monroe, GA, died on September 29, 2013.

He was born in Ararat, VA on December 25, 1939 to the late Elizabeth Marshall Boyd and the late Elmer Boyd.

Surviving are: wife, Emily Pannell Boyd of Monroe; son and daughter-in-law, Derry and Debbie Boyd of Monroe; sister, Lorene Boyd West of Mt. Airy, NC; grandchildren, Nicole Boyd of Monroe, and Andrew Boyd of Monroe.

Funeral services were Wednesday, October 2, 2013 in the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with the Rev. Rupert Evans, the Rev. Bill Lloyd, and the Rev. Ken Deitle officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
