Seasons kick off on Aug. 30 for Monroe Area High School and Georgia Walton Academy.
Monroe Area High School is No. 7 in Class 4A in the first state high school football rankings released by Georgia High School Football Daily (ghsfdaily.com).
George Walton Academy is No. 6 in Class A.
The rankings are compiled in conjunction with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Monroe Area opens its season Aug. 30 at Loganville. GWA opens Aug. 30 at First Presbyterian.
