UGA to Open 2013 Football Season with a Challenge

The Georgia Bulldogs open their 2013 season with a challenge -- at No. 8 Clemson on Aug. 31 (8 p.m., ABC).
Just a week later, UGA has its home opener against No. 6 South Carolina and the "evil genius," Coach Steve Spurrier. The Gamecocks have won three straight vs. the Bulldogs in this rivalry.

- SANFORD STADIUM SCRIMMAGE: According to Online Athens, the Bulldogs held a scrimmage this week. It was starters and top reserves vs. scout teamers who simulated Clemson. Top tailbacks Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall took it easy.
- BULLDOGS' 2014 SCHEDULE: Already, the drum is beating for 2014. In scheduling, Georgia came away with an open date before South Carolina, and does not have to play Alabama next season, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
