5 Runners from Norcross in Boston Marathon as Explosion Rocks Race
Boston Police said the blast occurred around 2:50 p.m. Police say at least three are dead and many injured.

Norcross Patch was able to confirm via social media that four of the five local runners in the Boston Marathon are all right. The only runner we have not heard any news about is Kerry McLaughlin.

Boston Police are reporting at least three people died and many were injured after two explosions occurred around 2:50 p.m. Monday near the finish line of the Boston Marathon.Â
Video of the incident shows the explosion knocking runners and bystanders to the ground following the blast.Â

The Boston Marathon released a statement around 4 p.m. that said, "There were two bombs that exploded near the finish line in today's Boston Marathon. We are working with law enforcement to understand what exactly has happened."
According to the Boston Marathon's website, five runners in this year's race listed Norcross as their hometown.
