- Sept. 20-21:Â Rodeo pros do it all at Corn Dawgs near Loganville. You got bronco ridin', calf ropin' and steer wrestlin'. Check out the pre-rodeo concert by Drew Parker. (6 p.m. concert, 7 p.m. rodeo, $15, 770-786-9000)
- Sept. 21: If you like The Band, Marvin Gaye or Bonnie Raitt, give this band some time. The Cumberland Collective out of Nashville features 15 musicians/songwriters who'll get you dancing in Thrasher Park in Norcross. And it's free! (7:30 p.m., 678-421-4000)Â
- Sept. 21: The Gwinnett Environmental & Heritage Center near Buford celebrates two distinctive natural entities on Saturday — honeybees and the harvest moon. The 4th annual Honeybee Festival teaches visitors about little-known aspects of this Georgia honey production, complete with honey samples and a bee costume party (11 a.m.- 3 p.m., free to $5). Saturday night, watch the sunset and moonrise in a harvest moon hike (7:30 p.m.-9 p.m.; $6-$30). For info on both events, call 770-904-3500.
- Sept. 21: The Harbins Park 10K Trail Run is a 6.2-mile and part of the XTERRA Georgia Series. The field is limited to 275 runners. (7 a.m., $30-$40)
- Sept. 21:Â The annual festival in Town Center Park celebrates community with a parade, arts and craft and entertainment. (9 a.m.-10 p.m., 770-945-8996).
- Sept. 21-22: The 27th annual event fosters understanding of Japanese life and culture in the Southeast. Held at the Gwinnett Convention Center near Duluth. (10 a.m., $8, 770-813-7500)
- Through Sept. 22: The Gwinnett County Fair has its final weekend of the year with all of what you'd expect from the popular event — food, fun, family and funnelcake. (Weekdays 5 p.m.-11 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m.-11 p.m., Sunday 1 p.m.-10 p.m., $2-$5, 770-963-6522)
