Fire Damages Norcross Hotel

NORCROSS, GA – Firefighters responded Monday at 9:05 p.m. to a report of a fire at the Knights Inn Hotel, located in the 5122 block of Brookhollow Parkway, NW in Norcross. There were no injuries reported.

Fire damaged three units at the hotel and the fire has been ruled accidental. Per the fire investigator, the blaze appears to have started in a unit that was not occupied and was not being rented at the time. The fire is believed to be electrical in nature and originated from a floor mounted HVAC system. Firefighters worked fast and kept the flames contained to the end units of the large single-story structure.

Equipment at the scene included: 4-Engines, 2-Ladder Trucks, 1-Squad, 2-Medic Units, 1-Air & Light Unit, 2-Battalion Chiefs, 1-District Chief and 1-Fire Investigator.
