5 State Parks to Visit Before Summer Ends

Check out these state parks this Labor Day weekend, or as the summer comes to a close.

We know it's going to rain for part of the Labor Day weekend. But, that's we're reminding you about these state parks now.

Of course, you can visit these parks anytime this summer. (There's a few more weeks to go!)

Be sure to check the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration to stay up to date on weather in Norcross and beyond.

Here's a list of five parks you don't want to miss.

1. Panola Mountain State Park, Stockbridge, Ga:
Features five campsites, four picnic shelters, two miles of hiking, bike trails and more

2. Fort Yargo State Park, Winder, Ga:
Features three cottages, 52 campsites, five picnic shelters, 18 miles of trails and more

3. Hard Labor Creek State Park, Rutledge, Ga:
Features 20 cottages, 11 horse camps, four picnic shelters, hiking, fishing, golfing and more

4. Red Top Mountain State Park, Cartersville, Ga:
Features seven picnic shelters, boating, hiking, swimming and more across 1,776 acres

5. Sweetwater Creek State Park, Lithia Springs, Ga:
Features 11 picnic shelters, nine miles of trails, geocaching, ranger programs and more across 2,549 acres
