Gwinnett HRC to host open house

The open house will be held Tuesday from 6:30-9 p.m. at Tacos & Tequilas Mexican Grill in Buford.

BUFORD, GA – Gwinnett County residents are invited to learn about the Human Relations Commission at an open house Tuesday.

The open house will be held from 6:30-9 p.m. at Tacos & Tequilas Mexican Grill, 3480 Financial Center Way in Buford. The event, which is free and open to the public, will feature appetizers and live music.
Residents will have an opportunity to network with Human Relations Commissioners and ask questions.
“This is an excellent way for residents to interact with HRC members and learn what we do and ways to get involved in the community,” HRC Chairman Dan DeVore said. “This is designed to be an open dialogue between neighbors.”
The 13-member Human Relations Commissions works to ensure government services are available to all residents, regardless of race, gender or national origin. The commission coordinates with government agencies to promote better race relations in Gwinnett. The commission also investigates discrimination complaints.
