Incumbents Qualify for City Elections
The mayor's post, as well as two council seats are on the election ballot.
As of 4:30 p.m. Aug. 28, three Norcross citizens qualified for this year's municipal election.
They were:
- Mayor Bucky Johnson - incumbent (qualified Aug. 26)
- Council Member Craig Newton - incumbent (qualified Aug. 26)
- Council Member Charlie Riehm - incumbent (qualified Aug. 28)
The mayor's seat, as well as two council members' seat are up for election.
Qualifying extends to Aug. 30. Apply 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at City Hall, 65 Lawrenceville Street.Â
