Man Shot To Death In Norcross Apartment: Police

Gwinnett police officers on Friday found an unidentified man who had been shot to death in his Norcross-area apartment.

NORCROSS, GA — The Gwinnett County police are investigating a suspicious death Friday at an apartment complex in the Norcross area. Officers responded at about 7 a.m. to a call about a person shot in Building 18 of the Oakwood Vista Apartments on Coleville Circle.

The call came from a friend or relative who said they found the victim dead inside a ground-floor unit, according to a police report.

The officers found that the apartment's patio door had broken glass, and the victim was in the bedroom suffering from a fatal gunshot wound.

The police identified the victim only as a Hispanic male. They said they were withholding his name until his relatives could be notified.

As crime scene detectives probed the apartment, officers went door-to-door in the complex, asking residents if they had heard or seen anything that could be related to the incident.
