What's Lorenzo Carter Saying Now?

The Norcross High defensive end graduates in 2014, and he has more than 30 offers now to play college football. See what he's said recently on Twitter.

So, we've been following the moves of Lorenzo Carter, the powerhouse defensive end from Norcross High that everyone seems to want on their college roster.

If Twitter is any indication, Carter also has a whole lot of admirers -- more than 3,000 of them -- following his moves, as well. And, he doesn't disappoint. He stays active on social media and is quoted frequently in the news.

Recently, he was quoted in AJC as saying this about a trip to Ohio State:

We ate breakfast, went by the stadium and Buckeye Grove. And that’s it. We left. Ohio State was just a drive-through. We didn’t really do anything. It was kind of disappointing but it was whatever.

Ranked as the No. 1 prospect in the state, and No. 4 in the nation, Carter is kind of a big deal.

He has more than 30 offers, including University of Alabama, Auburn University, Georgia Tech, University of Georgia, University of Notre Dame, and Vanderbilt University.

Although many of his class of 2014 peers have made commitments, the 230-pound, 6-foot-five-inch Carter is still mulling it over. By the end of July, Carter told the AJC he hopes to have his top seven or eight teams decided.

And, while he's deciding his future, Carter is still going hard on the field.

This week he's participating in The Opening, a Nike showcase for top recruits. Just last night (July 1), he placed No. 6 nationally in the rigorous SPARQ athletic competition.
