Atlanta Police Investigate Apparent Shooting Death

Atlanta police are investigating the apparent shooting death of a man found in the 500 block of English Avenue in northwest Atlanta on Wednesday, Jan. 8.

Officer John Cafee said upon arrival to the scene, officers found a man who was possibly in his mid-40s. He appeared to have been shot and was dead.

Atlanta police homicide Investigators responded to the scene and began their investigation.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the male may have been involved in an argument that escalated to gunfire.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
