Back to School Bowl-A-Thon Set for Saturday

More than 100 students have signed up to attend Sheriff Thomas Brown and his staff's fifth annual Back to School Bowl-A-Thon, which will take place tomorrow (Saturday, Aug.3, 2013) from 9:30 a.m.-noon. at Suburban Lanes in Decatur.

The event will be co-hosted by Thomas Walker, whose family owns Suburban Lanes, according to release the event from the sheriff's office.

During the event, students from area churches and YMCAs "will have the chance to enjoy free bowling, pizza and back packs full of school supplies. They will also get the opportunity to get career and education advice from the attending staff members," the release states.  

Suburban Lanes is located at 2619 N Decatur Rd.
