Blessing of the Backpacks Set at Shallowford Presby. Church

Shallowford Presbyterian Church will offer a “Blessing of the Backpacks” at both morning worship services on Sunday, August 5 at 8:45 am and 11:00 am. at 2375 Shallowford Rd., Atlanta, 404.321.1844.

During the service, students and adults will come forward with their school bags, backpacks, briefcases, etc. to receive a blessing for the coming year.

Attendees are asked to bring extra school supplies to the service as a donation to those in need. The church will share donated supplies with its local mission partners.

School starts on Monday, August 6 for many local students.
