In Loving Memory of Peggy Joyce Sosebee Stone, 77

Mrs. Peggy Joyce Sosebee Stone, born on September 23, 1937 to Solomon David and Mildred Maggie Berrong Sosebee, died peacefully on Monday, April 13, 2015, at the age of 77.

Peggy lived in Atlanta all her life, graduated from West Fulton High School in 1955 and attended Georgia State. Married at 20, she settled in Decatur where she raised her boys. Peggy fulfilled her lifelong dream of building a home in 2005 designed by her son, for which she won Southeast Designer of the Year at Atlanta Decorative Arts Center in 2007.

Peggy was passionate for the decorative arts: fashion, antiques and interior design. Early in her career she was a fashion model but later turned to design and antiques. She loved all things beautiful. Peggy’s greatest love was her family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, R. Norman Stone; her oldest son, Duane N. Stone and his partner, Ken Walker, her younger son, Todd L. Stone and his wife and children, Montie, Lane and Leah.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, April 17, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Oak Grove United Methodist Church, 1722 Oak Grove Road, Decatur, GA 30033 with Dr. Amy Morgan officiating; visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. prior the service at the Church.
