Man Shot in Tuesday Morning Attempted Robbery

The shooting happened along Briarcliff Place and Rosedale Road.

ATLANTA, GA -- A man was shot early Tuesday morning on Briarcliff Place near Rosedale Road in an area which police describe as a low-crime neighborhood.

The man, who is recovering at Grady Memorial Hospital, was walking to a store and was the victim of an attempted robbery, according to the AJC.

The robbery happened around 2 am. The victim, who was approached by two suspects, was shot twice in the legs and once in an arm.

Police told Channel 2 Action News that, "in this neighborhood, we really don't get a lot" of that type of crime.
