More Newk's Eatery Locations Coming to Atlanta

Newk's Eatery, the fast casual restaurant known for its open kitchen, has signed a new development agreement with franchisee C2 Investment Partners to open six Newk's locations in the Atlanta area over the next four years and has purchased the existing Newk's at 2566 Briarcliff Road in Atlanta.

The agreement is part of Newk's growth plans to double in size in the next three years. The chain currently has more than 100 units in 13 states, predominantly in the Southeast.

C2 Investment Partners is owned by Brent Cann and Doug Cullinan, who both have backgrounds in business and finance. Operating Partner Lynn Townsend brings more than 20 years of hospitality and restaurant experience to the group.

"The Atlanta market is an important part of our rapid growth plans, but it's not enough to just sign deals and get restaurants open quickly – we need those restaurants to uphold the brand standards that are the reason for Newk's success," said Newk's Chief Development Officer Chris Cheek. "The partners at C2 have exactly the commitment, track record and expertise in quick-serve and fast casual segments that we need to expand our Georgia footprint."

Founded in 2004, Newk's currently operates and franchises more than 100 units in 13 states.
