NPR: Clyde Shepherd Nature Preserve a Great Retreat, Birding Spot

The local NPR affiliate featured the park in the Medlock community.

If you're looking for a great place to watch birds or just get away from the hustle of life inside the Perimeter, Clyde Shepherd Nature Preserve might be your place.

The 28-acre preserve in the Medlock community was featured in a recent story by 90.1 FM WABE – Atlanta's National Public Radio affiliate – and it highlighted the park's rich birding opportunities, among other things.

The park opened in 2005 under the management of South Peachtree Creek Nature Preserves, a nonprofit focused on preserving natural spaces in the creek's watershed, according to the preserve's website.
