Patch Goes to Waikikie Hawaiian BBQ for Lunch

North Druid Hills-Briarcliff Patch has neither the time nor the greenbacks to head to Hawaii right now.

But driving around the community Tuesday, we passed Waikikie Hawaiian BBQ at Briarcliff and Lavista roads and thought, "Is that a restaurant or a Dick Dale concert in there?"

So, we pulled over, headed inside and bought the Waikikie Combo, which includes BBQ beef, short ribs chicken and rice. And we added a drink and some onion rings for a total of about $14. How was it?

The verdict is contained within the absurd video above. By the way, if you're expecting A.A. Gill (or even food criticism on par with your typical Yelp rant) head somewhere else. We did this once. We probably won't do this again.
