Weekend Planner: Woodcarving, Arts, BBQ and More

Here are a list of things going on this weekend in and around the North Druid Hills-Briarcliff area:

1. Boy Scout Woodcarving Merit Badge Workshop at ZONE OF LIGHT STUDIO: Saturday. In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to complete the requirements for Woodcarving Merit Badge.
2. Piedmont Park Summer Arts & Crafts Festival: Saturday. The Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces will host its third annual arts and crafts festival at Piedmont Park on August 17-18 in Midtown and it’s full of surprises!
3. Back to School Celebration: Sunday. Briarlake Church is inviting students of all ages (Kindergarten through college) and their families to our Back to School Celebration on Sunday, August 18!
4. 13th annual Decatur BBQ, Blues & Bluegrass Festival: Saturday. Once again the sights, sounds, and smells of the Decatur BBQ Blues & Bluegrass Festival will invade Harmony Park in Oakhurst Saturday, August 17th from 4pm – 10pm.
5. Growlers and Guitars!: Friday. We will have local musician Micah Cadwell playing live music for your enjoyment while picking up your brew! Should be a fun night!
