- Food Truck Friday to benefit the Druid Hills Charter Cluster: Friday. The Druid Hills Charter Cluster is hosting a Food Truck Friday to benefit the Charter Cluster! Join us at Avondale Baptist Church located at 47 Covington Hwy, Avondale Estates, GA for dinner, facepaint, rummage sale, games and a preview of the petition!
- Public Safety Showcase: Saturday. The event is an opportunity to meet members of the department’s staff and gain better insight into the tools and strategies officers use to keep DeKalb County safe. Attendees can get an up close view of the latest equipment used by specialized units in addition to receiving safety tips and information. The entire family is encouraged to attend. There will be special give-a-ways for children.
- Paddling Basics: Saturday. At REI. Paddling is one of the fastest growing outdoor recreation activities. Before you head out on the water, be sure to learn the PADDLING BASICS. This class offers you an overview of information on Canoes, Kayaks and Stand-up Paddleboards. Free.
